The Office of Worship is pleased to assist parishes in scheduling the Sacrament of Confirmation for adult candidates. Bishop Simon Peter Engurait will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation within Mass for adults twice a year at the Cathedral of Saint Francis de Sales in Houma—once in the fall and once in the spring—providing opportunities for those who are ready at different times.
This celebration is intended for those who have been baptized Catholic and have already received the Eucharist, but who are in need of the Sacrament of Confirmation to complete their full initiation into the Catholic Church.
